Tibetan Buddhist Altar tables from the Upper Sange AKA Wutun Monastery, with the exception of the Han Altar tables, which come from Gansu and have a heavy Tibetan Buddhist influence in their art and style. Each one is uniquely hand painted by monk artists specifically trained in Tibetan Buddhist art. The tables are hand painted with Buddhist symbols and icons on each Tibetan cabinet. Every Butsudan either comes with a Certificate of Authenticity brush-signed by a monk at the monastery, the exceptions are the Han Altars which do not come with a COA or other documentation. The Buddhist altar tables are all survivors of, and pre-date the Chinese Cultural Revolution when over 6100 of the Tibetan monasteries were completely destroyed.
